Onlookers witness Lilac Bridge implosion. Residents in Hooksett and surrounding New Hampshire communities heard a loud boom Friday as workers demolished the Lilac Bridge. The pedestrian bridge was deemed unsafe, and was demolished around 4 p.m. Friday.
