Former Times Media building felled in implosion. The building that used to house Times Media at Rosebank, Johannesburg in South Africa has been imploded. The building was imploded to make space for The Galleria, a 90,000 square metre development that will consist of offices, a hotel and apartments, among other things.

Video – Bay Bridge succumbs to pier pressure…
Implosion removes yet more of the Old Bay Bridge. Engineers are taking out some of the last remnants of the original San Francisco Bay Bridge. They conducted the first implosion Saturday, to remove 13-remaining piers of the east span of the structure. The original 1936 bridge has been replaced with one that’s earthquake safe.
