252 metre stack falls in controlled blast. The 252 metre (830 foot) tall smokestack at Plant Yates in Newnan, Georgia was felled this week in a controlled implosion. The stack has been out of use since 2015 and the blast is the latest stage in a programme of regeneration and renewal at the plant.
