252 metre stack falls in controlled blast. The 252 metre (830 foot) tall smokestack at Plant Yates in Newnan, Georgia was felled this week in a controlled implosion. The stack has been out of use since 2015 and the blast is the latest stage in a programme of regeneration and renewal at the plant.

Caltrans, ably assisted by Dykon Explosives Demolition Corp, finally took down the fifth span of the old Antlers bridge that didn’t fall during last week’s planned demolition.
