Bank building blasted…
Pasadena State Bank building imploded. Pasadena’s first, and only, skyscraper was demolished just after sunrise Sunday morning. The historic tower was built in 1962 but has remained vacant since 2002. After nearly 20 years of neglect, the tower was condemned as a safety hazard to the community.

News reports suggest that three people have been killed. International news media is reporting that a sports stadium in Shenzhen in South China’s Guandong Province has collapsed whilst undergoing demolition.
