Andy Stevens is an award-winning builder and broadcaster. Andy was also Vice President of the London region of the Federation of Master Builders where he was on the board for nearly a decade.
He has produced and presented his own radio show, and has just finished presenting a weekly live show for OnTheTools, which has over four million followers. He also hosts his own weekly construction podcast called Build:It.
More importantly, Andy is an ambassador for both the Construction Industry Training Board and the Lighthouse Club construction charity looking specifically at the subject of mental health awareness.
The following interview was recorded to mark Mental Health Awareness Week. But, as you will hear, Andy Stevens believes that mental health issues within the combined construction and demolition sectors needs more than a week-long focus once a year.
