Video – Controlled blast fells Dallas hospital…

CDI adds another successful blast to its portfolio.

Decades of Dallas history came tumbling down in seconds Sunday morning as crews imploded St. Paul University Hospital.

The structure near the corner of Harry Hines Boulevard and Inwood Road first opened its doors in 1963 and is now owned by UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Among the notable achievements in the hospital’s history, in 1985 St. Paul became the first hospital in Dallas to successfully complete a heart transplant.
