Gove foils M&S plans

With the swish of his pen, communities secretary Michael Gove has simultaneously driven a dagger into the heart of both the demolition AND the retail sectors as he calls a halt to Marks & Spencer’s Oxford Street plans.

According to Building magazine, his decision “is expected to be highly influential for the future of major demolish and rebuild projects”.
