Former BBC transmitter masts felled in Dorset.

For decades, the transmitter towers at Rampisham Downs in Dorset helped blast the BBC World Service signal across the English Channel to listeners across Continental Europe.

But with the advent of satellite technology, those towers have fallen silent and – subsequently – into disrepair. So they’re coking down.
