Video Exclusive – Hyundai HX260L makes UK debut…

Hughes & Salvidge first to get to grips with all-new excavator.

Following its UK debut at PlantworX 2015 earlier this year, the first Hyundai HX260L has made its demolition debut on a site operated by Hughes & Salvidge.

The machine is equipped with new Cummins engines compliant with the latest Tier 4 final and EU Stage IV engine exhaust emissions regulations. Hyundai has opted for a combined solution of EGR and SCR technologies, without the need for an additional DPF. At the same time a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 10% has been achieved – in line with the nature of the machine activity.

The cab has also been redesigned to provide greater comfort for the operator. The interior of the cabin has been rearranged to provide 10% more space for the operator and better air circulation with the newly developed air conditioning system. The operator has more available storage space and a new instrument panel and controls.

The machine – which is owned and operated by Alistair Holroyd – is currently at work at the Corunna Barracks in Andover, Wiltshire which afforded us the perfect opportunity to work with our new aerial video partners DemoVision to produce the following film:
