Crews battle fire at GBM facility…

Early morning blaze at waste recycling plant.

Fire crews remain at the scene of a recycling waste unit in Louth where a blaze started in the early hours of this morning.

The fire was to a building containing cardboard at GBM Waste Demolition on Bolingbroke Road on Louth’s Fairfield Industrial Estate.

The building also contained a baler and various plant machinery.

Six fire engines from Louth, Binbrook, North Somercotes, and Grimsby Peakes Lane attended at 4.30 am this morning.

The blaze comes just over a month since GBM experienced an uncontrolled collapse at a site in Houslow, West London.
