For as long as I can remember, I have been intrigued by the thought process that goes into the purchase of an item of demolition equipment. With so little to choose between many of the leading equipment brands, what makes a demolition contractor pick one marque or model over another?
So we decided to ask them.
In the first of what we hope will evolve into a useful guide, we started our Kit Talk video series with the newly-appointed chairman of the UK’s National Demolition Training Group, AR Demolition’s Richard Dolman.
Dolman has recently purchased seven OilQuick couplers – from UK importer Haulmark – covering both his 20 tonne Volvo excavator fleet and his company’s high reach machine.
We found his insight fascinating, and his willingness to invest in a premium-priced product in the midst of a recession refreshing.
