Attachments specialist goes national with Furukawa breaker franchise
The company has been a long-term distributor of first the Rammer brand and, more recently, the Sandvik range after Rammer was acquired by the Swedish giant. But the Furukawa sees ECY spreading its wings geographically.
“We have been a Sandvik dealer for a number of years, but our territory was limited to the North of England,” ECY’s Richard Yarwood exclusively told DemolitionNews. “But with Furukawa, we will have a national distributorship, allowing us to offer a proven hydraulic breaker range to both existing and new customers beyond our previous breaker territory.”
The Furukawa range is currently sold alongside the Komatsu excavator range via the Marubeni-Komatsu dealer network although Yarwood says he is hoping to make the distributorship exclusive in the near future.
The Furukawa breaker range – which is suitable for carriers in the 1.0 to 70 tonnes operating weight range – will complement an ECY product range that already includes La Bounty shears and compactors, RubbleMaster crushers, VTN grabs and the recently-launched Xcentric ripper.
