In December last year, AR Demolition was involved in a controlled but unforeseen collapse of a space deck roof at the head office of the Bristol Media newspaper group.
Although the company was totally exonerated of all blame – which even structural engineers had failed to predict – many demolition companies would have chosen to brush the incident under the carpet. Instead, AR Demolition’s Richard Dolman used the Institute of Demolition Engineers’ Autumn Seminar to share his experience in the hope that other demolition companies do not suffer a similar collapse.
