A crowd of 300 onlookers, composed of current and former Kodak employees, business partners and guests lightly applauded.

It was difficult to tell if the applause was for the symbolic beginning of the demolition of four key buildings on the Windsor campus or if it was for Kodak Colorado Plant Manager Vikki Wagner, who was at the controls of the giant excavator.

“This is not an ending,” Wagner said earlier. “It’s merely a milestone on our journey.”

Kodak officials announced in October that four buildings, C11, C13, C16 and C60, would be demolished and the land put up for sale.
