D&Ri’s Lindsay Gale has wasted no time in securing an exclusive interview with newly-elected NFDC president, David Darsey.

In a revealing interview, Darsey reveals his concerns about the current state of the UK demolition industry but also reflects upon the importance of training and occupational health during the current downturn.

Equally telling is his comment that his presidency is the culmination of a 10 year journey, during which he has been supported by his brothers, fellow directors and staff at Erith Group.

The article is very good and confirms what most of us know that Dave is as dedicated to Erith and to NFDC and he will be an excellent President who will do the job in his unique style.

I totally agree John. One of the things I love about the NFDC’s policy of a two-year presidency is that each new president brings with them their own passions, concerns and unique style. From a demolition workers’ standpoint, I think David Darsey’s decision to pursue the occupational health goals established by his predecessor, John Wring, can only be good for the industry.
