The iconic Dunlop Bridge that has straddled the race track at Donnington Park, home to both the British Forumla 1 Grand Prix and British Motorcycle Grand Prix, is no more. Midlands-based specialist contractor Armac has used a Caterpillar high reach excavator to safely remove the “tyre-effect” cladding before the entire steel bridge was cut and pulled down.

A video showing the final (and extremely windy) seconds of the famous bridge can be viewed by clicking here. Please be aware that the video does contain some strong langauge.
