Redhead folds

The brutal meat grinder that is the UK demolition industry has claimed another victim.

National Federation of Demolition Contractors member Redhead Demolitions has appointed Menzies LLP to assist in placing the company in Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

The Windsor-based company was founded in 1966 by brothers Bruce and Reginald Redhead. Over the past 58 years, the company established an admirable reputation across the south of England, undertaking contracts from power stations down to residential, for many bodies, such as local authorities, hospitals, schools, councils and blue chip contractors.

After the untimely passing of Bruce Redhead a few years ago, Ross Redhead took over the reins and upheld the standards for which the company was known and respected.

DemolitionNews understands that Redhead Demolitions’ fortunes were impacted by several clients going bust in 2022. Against a backdrop of an industry-wide narrowing of margins, Ross Redhead has taken the decision to close the doors on a widely respected demolition company.

The thoughts of DemolitionNews are with the Redhead family and all their employees.
