Former Wates director Simon Wilkinson has joined demolition contractor John F Hunt as the company looks to grow market share in the London commercial sector.
Wilkinson joins from Kent based contractor Claritas Group where he has been a director since 2019. Prior to that he worked for 13 years at Wates with his final role as Business Development Director.
The appointment follows a string of recent acquisitions including the takeover last month of consultant RKD which has an impressive track record in some of London’s most recent high-profile projects.
It also follows hot on the heels of the Competition and Markets Authority investigation that named John F Hunt as one of 10 UK demolition companies caught up in a bid rigging scandal.
John F Hunt was subsequently fined £5.6 million for its part in the scandal.
