New dedicated safety forum launches with clear aim.

logoThis month sees the official launch of The Demolition Safety Association (TDSA), a new web-based forum created to facilitate the sharing of best practice information and the sharing of information on incidents and near misses across the industry.

The forum is seeking to promote health and safety within the industry and to all other stakeholders involved in or linked to demolition including suppliers, enforcing authorities and clients.

The forum is open now to organisations and other interested parties to apply for membership and begin contributing to the discussion.

According to the forum, there are three key ways to contribute:

  1. Shared Learning – Learning from when things have (or could have) gone wrong. This forum area asks for the sharing of incident alerts, near misses and enforcement intervention or guidance
  2. Good practice guide – Innovation is vital in the current environment. Through innovation, the industry needs to continually challenge established practices and embrace the safest possible techniques, tools and equipment and the best training.
  3. Resources – Sharing of industry studies and research material is a useful tool through which to interpret the current regulations and apply them to specific demolition activities.

If you are a demolition professional, then we strogly urge you to add your voice to the discussion.
