Here at Demolition News Towers we love a gadget, particularly anything bearing the famous Apple logo. Indeed, such is our addiction to all things originating from Cupertino that we no longer know whether Steve Jobs is a revolutionary genius or an addiction feeding pusher.
But we were both delighted and impressed with our test run of the iScrap App, a mobile app that lets demolition contractors find scrap yards within 100 miles of their location on their iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android. The company behind the app – which, sadly for us is currently limited to US scrap yard locations – has released the latest version with three times faster loading time, 34 more materials, and 14 more container options for contractors in the US.
At a time when scrap prices are through the roof, contractors want to be sure they’re getting the best prices. The iScrap App does just that, helping tradesmen find the nearest scrap yard offering the best prices.
