Liberty Industrial takes down massive reclaimer at Aussie coal terminal.
Australian demolition giant Liberty Industrial has carried out the demolition of a Reclaimer and a Stacker at Port Kembla Coal Terminal.
The Reclaimer was removed from the stockyard over a bridge and transported to a dedicated demolition area for demolition and disposal. Once the structure had been safely positioned in the processing area it will was preweakened in order to facilitate explosive demolition with cutting charges.
The Stacker was demolished while still within an operating coal terminal. The method for removal involved dismantling the structure utilising a 600 tonne crawler crane.
