Video – DSM goes reggae…

UK companies carry out successful twin-stack blast in Jamaica.

Back in 1980, a rag-tag group of unemployed young men from Birmingham appropriated the music of Jamaica to record their first hit song, Food for Thought. And so, the band UB40 was born.

Now, almost 40 years later in what is like some protracted student exchange programme, Birmingham has repaid its debt to Jamaica by sending over a somewhat less rag-tag group of demolition experts to implode a pair of chimney stacks in a live cement works in Kingston, Jamaica.

Together with explosives experts from Robinson & Birdsell, that blast was carried out successfully over the weekend. And we have an exclusive video of the blast.

Irie!
