Breaking – Chamic Demolition folds…

Edinburgh-based demolition company becomes recession’s latest victim.

DemolitionNews.com understands that Edinburgh-based Chamic Demolition Services – part of the Chamic Group – has placed into liquidation. Formed in 1985, the company – and its surviving asbestos removal sister company – became a mainstay of the Scottish demolition landscape.

According to Companies House, director Charles Hunter’s appointment was terminated in February of this year.

On 11 June, the company issued a provisional notice of the appointment of a liquidator.

During its near 30-year history, Chamic Demolition racked up an impressive client portfolio including the likes of Diaggeo, Interserve and a variety of property companies including New Highland Property and MacDonald Estates.
