Video – Implosion fells Forth Worth medical centre…

Controlled explosion drops former medical building in Fort Worth in seconds yesterday morning.

At 7:30 am local time yesterday morning demolition crews, using a hundred pounds of explosives, imploded the eight-storey Medical Tower building at the northeast corner of Rosedale Street and Eighth Avenue in the heart of the medical district.

The area is being cleared to make way for a new office tower and seven-level parking garage that’s part of the $250 million expansion of Cook Children’s Medical Center.

The new five-story, 118,865 square-foot building will be home to about 400 administrative employees now working in various locations, including Burnett Plaza in downtown Fort Worth.
