Don’t be fooled by the high tech name – The Dyna Pulse is a throwback.

Hydraulic hammers and breakers have come a long way in the 30+ years they have been a part of the demolition industry’s armoury. Three decades of development has seen them grow quieter yet more powerful, more durable, productive and more environmentally friendly than anyone would have dared imagine back in the late 1970s.

So we were intrigued when one of our readers directed us to a YouTube video of the Dyna Pulse Demolition Hammer, partly because it was a name with which we were unfamiliar and partly because it sounded like a high tech marvel from the Star Trek era that was set to revolutionise the demolition business.

Sadly, it appears that the revolutions in noise control and productivity took a major swerve around this particular hammer as the following video neatly illustrates:
