Great review! I'm planning on ordering one from the States. The Aussie dollar is matching the US dollar quite well at the moment. I can't one here in Australia so I'm looking forward to having one. Thanks again for your review.

Well I am welsh expat living and working in building trade in Sweden. My boss is english and we have seen a few people around wearing these. so this summer he got one and loves it. There is the awkwardness of being up a ladder when we have female customers around ( we build conservatories mostly)and of course like the Glastonbury man my boss found it strange and unusual being careful when sitting down. but he loves it and next year all will have them. !!

Well what can I say it certainly adds a new dimension to workwear, I am not sure how safe it would be depending on what kind of work you are doing but I love the idea, The girls would be whistling at the workmen for a change.

The kilt is a fairly simple design and the pleating at the back is not deep enough to give as much movement to the cloth as a "proper" kilt. I have worn mine for a while now and it is really comfortable and just a great thing to wear (buy the Blacklader belt to go with it-really sets it off) I don't think we will ever see one on a building site, it just will not provide the degree of security a man needs when climbing or even stepping up on something high.

John,

The Blaklader kilt is only manufactured in one length and both the kilts black and hi vis are manufactured with the holster pockets on the front.

I suppose that you could cut the pockets off but that would reduce the functionality of the garment as a whole.

All good questions John. Speaking purely about my own, I think it looks spectacular from the rear. But you can find out more here: http://tinyurl.com/m47pzj

What does it look like from the rear?
Does it come in Lenghts longer than 24"?
Are there other styles w/o front pockets?
